Mortise Chisel – double layered blade laminated with White Paper steel. Has square cross section that is tapered towards the end of the blade. Japanese White Oak handle. In Japan these chisels are used to make or rework the guides of Japanese sliding doors (shoji) and partition walls. Great for making mortises used in chairs, tables and cupboards.
